
The 2020 NBCA T-20 Mombasa Cricket Tournament which suffered a long suspension period due the global COVID -19 pandemic ends this weekend with a mouth watering encounter between Burhani Sports Club and Pakistan Cricket Club.
The 2019 semi-finalists Burhani Sports Clubs go into the NCBA T20 tournament finals against little known Pakistan Cricket Club this Sunday as favorites at the Coast Gymkhana, Mombasa.
Burhani have won five games to reach the 2019 finals having secured the services of top batsmen including gunman Alex Obanda and Collins Obuya who turn out for the national team side and Yusuf Bakir to power the team’s innings. Hiren Varaiya, Mustafa Chandabhai and Collins Obuya lead the bowling attack in turn.
Pakistan Cricket Club who were out during the first round of the 2019 edition of the tournament, won all their matches in the 2020 leg to reach the finals. Captain Qaiser Malik, Ahmed Raza and pro – batsman Hamza Khan who is playing his second match since joining the team lead the batting line up with former Kenyan international legend Thomas Odoyo backing up the team spirit. Bowlers Muzeef Ahmed, Qaiser Malik, Hamza Liaquat stand in the way of Burhani batsmen with a decent display of arm strength.
